The TS-G400 is a very popular reader where small size, durability and low power consumption matter most. With a unique design and special internal adhesive it is totally waterproof, and because there is not a single screw on the surface it is exceptionally tamper resistant. One 3V lithium battery supports up to 350,000 continuous reads. If you need a dependable, tamper-proof data collection system, the TS-G400 is the obvious choice.

How It Works

  1. The guard reads his own Guard ID to identify himself, so every subsequent read is attributed to him.
  2. The guard visits each checkpoint in order and reads it. The reader stores the tag ID and exact date and time, and confirms with a prompt.
  3. After the round, the supervisor connects the reader to a PC by USB and uploads the records into the management software for analysis and reporting.
Tip: A download station is shared infrastructure — one per office is enough. USB-direct models such as the TS-G700 need none at all.

Product FAQ

Any exposed screw is an entry point — for water, and for someone trying to open the device and interfere with records. The TS-G400 is sealed with a special waterproof pad and adhesive instead, so the case cannot be opened without destroying it.
For a route with 30 checkpoints patrolled 4 times per shift, one shift is 120 reads. 350,000 reads covers roughly 2,900 shifts — around 1.5 to 2 years of continuous operation before the CR123A needs replacing.
